These Terms form part of the KEW website rebuild. They should be reviewed against KEW’s final legal entity details, live services, payment providers and commercial processes before launch.
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Kasi Economic Warriors (“KEW”, “we”, “us” or “our”) public website and the public information and enquiry routes made available through it.
By using this website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the website.
2. The role of the public website
The KEW public website is the public front door to the KEW ecosystem. It provides information about KEW, KasiTree, Kasi Market, KEW Services, Letsema, stokvel concepts and related participation pathways.
Unless a page clearly states otherwise, the public website itself is informational. It does not by itself create a membership agreement, financial account, stokvel membership, marketplace transaction, service contract or other binding commercial arrangement.
3. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not use the site in a way that damages, disables, interferes with or compromises the site, its security or the rights of another person.
You must not attempt to:
- gain unauthorised access to website systems or private areas;
- introduce malicious code or harmful content;
- scrape or extract protected content in a manner that violates applicable law or rights;
- impersonate KEW, another user or another organisation;
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information; or
- use KEW branding or website content in a misleading or unauthorised way.
4. KEW Services
Information about KEW Business Services is an invitation to enquire, not a fixed quotation or automatic service contract.
Any paid work should be governed by an agreed scope, deliverables, price, timing, responsibilities and any service-specific terms confirmed separately between KEW and the client.
A website enquiry does not oblige KEW to accept a project and does not oblige the enquirer to purchase a service.
5. Kasi Market
The current Kasi Market page is a public preview and discovery concept. Representative listings on the static website do not constitute live sellers, stock availability, prices, offers or transactions unless specifically identified as such in a future live marketplace.
The current public build does not process marketplace checkout, seller payouts or purchase transactions.
6. KasiTree
KasiTree is presented on this website as the planned private member ecosystem behind KEW. Public descriptions of planned features, journeys or modules do not guarantee that those functions are already available or that any person is automatically entitled to access.
Future membership, account access, verification, permissions, private-platform use and commercial features may be subject to separate onboarding requirements and terms.
7. Letsema
The current Letsema page explains community participation and the future community-support concept. The public static website does not currently collect donations, process crowdfunding payments or approve campaign applications.
Any future live community-funding system may be subject to additional campaign, verification, payment and legal terms.
8. Stokvel information
The Stokvels page is informational and describes a planned invite-only group model. The public website does not create live stokvel groups, accept member contributions, hold deposits, execute withdrawals or make payouts.
Any future live stokvel or group functionality will require separate group constitutions, onboarding, governance processes, approved infrastructure and any applicable legal or provider requirements.
9. No financial advice or guaranteed return
Information on this website is not financial, investment, credit, legal, tax or accounting advice. KEW does not guarantee any profit, return, funding outcome, business success or financial result from using the public website or participating in a future KEW initiative.
Where professional advice is required, you should obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
10. Information accuracy
KEW aims to keep public information useful and reasonably accurate, but information may become outdated, incomplete or subject to change as the platform, services and partnerships develop.
Users should confirm material commercial, operational, provider or legal information directly with KEW before relying on it for a decision.
11. User enquiries and information submitted to KEW
You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide to KEW is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
The Contact form in this static website build currently performs front-end validation only and does not transmit or store submitted form data.
12. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website content, KEW branding, page design, text, graphics and related materials are owned by or used with the permission of KEW and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may view and use the public website for ordinary personal or business-information purposes. You may not reproduce, sell, republish, misrepresent or commercially exploit protected KEW content without permission or another lawful basis.
13. Third-party links and services
The website may link to third-party websites or may later integrate third-party hosting, communications, verification, payment, fulfilment or other service providers.
A link or reference does not necessarily mean KEW controls or guarantees that third party. Independent third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy notices, availability and eligibility requirements.
14. Website availability
KEW may update, suspend, withdraw or change all or part of the public website where reasonably necessary. Continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
Planned features may change before production launch and prototype or concept material should not be treated as a guarantee of final functionality.
15. Security
Users must not attempt to circumvent website security or interfere with the operation of the site. KEW may take reasonable action to protect its systems, users and rights where misuse or security risks are identified.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should use appropriate care when following external links or providing information online.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the public website is provided on an “as available” basis. KEW does not make warranties about uninterrupted availability or that every item of public information will always be complete, current or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable South African law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, KEW will not be liable for indirect, consequential or purely economic loss arising solely from reliance on public concept information, unavailable prototype features, third-party websites or unauthorised use of the website.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
18. Privacy and cookies
Use of personal information is addressed in the Privacy Policy. Website technologies and cookies are addressed in the Cookie Policy.
19. Changes to these Terms
KEW may update these Terms when the website, operating model, services or legal requirements change. The updated date should be revised when a new version is published.
Separate service-specific or platform-specific terms may be introduced as live KEW services are developed.
20. Governing law
These website Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules that apply.
